I’m E.E. King, an award-winning painter, performer, writer, and naturalist. I’ll do anything that won’t pay the bills, especially if it involves animals.
Ray Bradbury, my mentor, called my stories, “marvelously inventive, wildly funny, and deeply thought-provoking.”
I’ve been published in over 100 magazines and anthologies, including Clarkesworld, Daily Science Fiction, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Short Edition, and Flametree.  My novels include, Dirk Quigby’s Guide to the Afterlife: All you need to know to choose the right heaven,
Real Conversations with Imaginary Friends, Another Happy Ending, The Truth of Fiction, Pandora’s Card Game, and Gods & Monsters.

I performed comedy and Improv in S.F., L.A, and Mexico and taught at the S.F. School of the arts.

I’ve worked with children in Bosnia, crocodiles in Mexico, frogs in Puerto Rico, egrets in Bali, mushrooms in Montana, archaeologists in Spain, butterflies in South Central Los Angeles and lectured on island evolution and marine biology on cruise ships in the South Pacific and Caribbean.

My art has been collected internationally. You can see my murals in downtown Los Angeles, Santa Paula, Cuenca Spain, and Trancones, Mexico.

I currently make my  home in Barcelona with a husband, three cats and a balcony of carnivorous plants.
